The Stock Trader News Expands Trader-Oriented Coverage; Publication Offers $5-a-Week Subscription for New Investor-Subscribers
HOUSTON, April 10, 2003 – The Stock Trader News, independent online journal of news and view about stocks, companies, opportunities and issues, has expanded its independent, unbiased trader-oriented coverage, while "running a special" to seek new investor-subscribers.
"STN" is, for a limited time, offering subscriptions to new readers for a nominal $5 a week, payable by credit card via PayPal. STN is published each Monday at www.stocktradernews.com .
A taste of STN's typical editorial style and coverage is available without charge on the Stock Trader News front page. It features fresh articles with their headlines and their first paragraphs without charge. Subscribers can log in and read the full stories.
STN coverage falls into the following categories:
Latest News: News-oriented coverage about a single publicly-traded company, its newsworthy activities, and the pros and cons of its "trade-ability," with an attitude, but never a buy-sell recommendation, which STN leaves to the investor.
How To Invest: A brief lesson on trading and investing in this bouncing ball market, covering a variety of strategies and tactics – a sort of "continuing education" for individual investors and traders.
Jack's Journal: The regular column of Editor in Chief Jack Burney, long time crusader for a level playing field for the small, individual trader – and specifically against naked shorting, a campaign be began in 2,000 while writing for the OTC News Network.
Feature Page: News and feature stories of companies and events the average investor may find useful and intriguing. This week's feature is typical, exploring a stock's rapid rise in price and exploring the question: "Pump and dump?"
Predictions: Stories of publicly traded companies looking ahead to future developments and prospects, like todays' news of an oil company which raised its dividend and predicts rising earnings and profits for the year ahead.
Star Stocks: Features the weekly Column of Financial Astrologer Ray Merriman, who tells readers what the stars say about the forthcoming fate of the US and international markets, with insights that are often remarkable.
"New features and guest columnists may be added in the near future," according to Burney. "We are in negotiations," he said.
